ContempraDance School offers summer dance programs for all ages.
Creative Motion Camps
Our Creative Motion Camps are designed for ages 3-11. Children will enjoy dancing, acting, singing and art set to the “theme” of the week. Art projects designed by the students will be used as props, costumes, or set designs for the end of the week show!
During snack break students will relax and watch the movie set to the week’s theme. Each camp below is $300 for the week.
The performance is on the last day of camp at noon. Please bring your own snack and drink

Workshops Ages 9 & Up
Our new Hip Hop Master Class with “Dre” is August 24th 1:00-3:00 $50 for the 2 hour workshop!
This workshop with Dre explores the fundamentals of hip hop and how it has evolved. Learn various types of break dancing, as well as current styles of dance that are popular today; and everything in between. You will leave this workshop with more confidence in your level of dance, stronger social skills from interacting with your peers, and tons of great exercise! Can’t miss this one!
Dre is a former hip hop instructor at ContempraDance and also one of our first Hip Hoppin Rat from ContempraDance Theatre’s Philly Nutt Crak-Up. He now lives in Arizona and we are so excited to have him back to teach for us!
Musical Theatre Workshop
Do you have what it takes to be on Broadway?
Join us and learn dance routines to songs from various musicals. They will learn about dancing with props, acting, and how to tell a story through movement. The students will perform a Broadway medley of the routines learned such as The Wiz, Aladdin, Seussical, & Matilda on the last day of camp for their families.

Tap Workshop with Ms. Tweety
For the Intermediate Tap Dancer ready to explore more intricate rhythms while increasing tap technique and clarity. Tap Dancers will be exposed to Rhythm Tap, Broadway/Show Tap, and Jazz Tap all while being fully immersed in the rich history, culture, and origins of Tap Dance. For tappers with at least one and half years of experience. Please bring a drink.

Dance Intensive Workshop
Our 4 day dance intensive is designed for intermediate to advanced level students. Classes will be taught in ballet, modern, jazz, African, lyrical, and funk. Our dance intensive teachers are professional dancers from the area and with ContempraDANCE Theatre’s professional company, ensuring the best dance education for the week! Teachers will be focusing on strength, flexibility, and dance movements while helping students develop their own individual dance styles. This camp is an excellent way for students to learn from professionals and enrich their dance education. Bring a bagged lunch and drink.

Ballet Intensive Workshop
Our ballet intensive workshop is designed to improve ballet technique and introduce students to a variety of elements in ballet dance. Students will work on technique and learn excerpts from various repertoire pieces. Designed for pre-intermediate and intermediate level students. Please bring a drink.
